Mijn werkervaring in de sales deed ik op bij Warner bros. en Walt Disney. In de avonduren volgde ik een cursus marketing en PR. Kort hierna ging ik naar Londen waar ik in het marketingwerk belandde.
Sinds heel wat jaren ben ik inmiddels docent Nederlands en Frans voor professionals. Mijn praktijkervaring kan ik nu inzetten in mijn lessen. Daarom kan ik zakelijke klanten snel begrijpen en ze doelgericht begeleiden effectief te communiceren in het Nederlands en Frans.

Dutch for Dentists
You want to explain why a crown is necessary, discuss what a patient can expect after a tooth extraction or reassure someone who is afraid of the anaesthetic. You know what you want to say, but sometimes struggle to find the right words in Dutch.
Perhaps you would like to expand your dental vocabulary, explain procedures more clearly or communicate more easily with colleagues. Even if you already speak Dutch fluently and want to improve your accuracy, pronunciation and use of nuance, the training will be tailored to your learning goals.
The Right Words
How do you explain a root canal treatment without overwhelming the patient with information? How do you discuss gum disease and motivate someone to change the way they brush their teeth? And how do you check whether your explanation has been properly understood? You will learn to switch between professional dental terminology and clear, patient-friendly language. We work on vocabulary, sentence structure and pronunciation, always using situations from your own dental practice.
What will you practise?

Asking about symptoms: exploring pain, how symptoms have developed and what the patient expects.

Explaining treatments: for example, filling a cavity, extracting a tooth, performing a root canal treatment or placing a crown, bridge or implant.

Discussing a treatment plan: explaining options, risks and costs clearly and responding to questions.

Giving instructions: providing oral hygiene advice, advice about gum disease and information about aftercare.

Responding to anxiety and uncertainty: acknowledging concerns, offering reassurance and allowing time for questions.
